Things we could not live without...

When I was pregnant with Abby, I wish someone had told me what the essential baby items were. Here is a list of what the Anderson household could not live without.


1. My Little Lamb Swing

Babies R Us, $150
This swing is pricey but it is worth every dime. Abby will only sleep in her swing. It is soft, quiet, and she loves it! We could not live without it!



2. Bouncey Seat

Babies R Us $39.99
Abby LOVES this bouncer. I put her in it during her awake time to play and watch DVD's. She loves the music it makes and is already reaching out and grabbing the animals.



3. Sheet savers
Babies R Us $7.99
I would suggest getting two of these. Instead of having to change the sheets everytime she spits up, I just change the sheet saver. Wonderful idea!



4. Brita Water Filter
Walmart $30.00
I am exclusively pumping breastmilk for Abby. Pumping and breastfeeding make you so thirsty. We went through so many bottles of water during the first few months that we finally got a brita filter. The water is good!




5. Baby Boot Camp: Basic Training for the First Six Weeks of Motherhood
Amazon $8.69
This book was such a blessing to me after having Abby. It was given to me by a good friend (also a new mom) and it helped me so much in the first six weeks of her life. Becoming a mom is such a wonderful thing. It is also a very difficult transition. This book uses scripture and words of encouragement to help new moms get through the first difficult weeks.



6. My Mom.
Our families have been such a blessing to us since Abby was born. Our parents and siblings have SPOILED Abby and have bought more toys and clothes for her than Reynolds and I have. My mom however, has been such a huge help to us. The first week we were home Mom stayed at our house and helped with everything. She cooked, cleaned, encouraged, and looked after Abby. Reynolds and I are so thankful for the DAYS she spent taking care of us.
