Earth's Best Coupon

I have decided to only use organic babyfood for Abby. I am not going to be over the top and monitor everything she puts in her mouth as a toddler, but I want to do my best to ensure that she gets the healthiest foods available. After researching baby foods online, I decided to use Earth's Best Baby Food. It's a bit more expensive than your other brands, but Reynolds and I decided that the health benefits were worth the extra cost. I would like to start making some of her food in the near future, but I have no idea where to start and I don't really know if I have the patience. If any of you have any links to recipes, I would really appreciate it!

I have been couponing for the last few months and it is saving us so much money. I just save the SmartSource and RedPlum inserts each week from the B'ham News and use http://www.southernsavers.com as my resource.

I read in an article that efficient couponing can save your family as much money in a year as a part-time job. It just takes a little time and organization.

Here is a link for Earth's Best Baby Food ($1 coupon)

  1. Hey check our Ashley's Baby food segment on Daytime Alabama. I think she mainly uses a book by Williams Sonoma. http://www2.nbc13.com/vtm/lifestyles/food_cooking/article/ashley_macs_make_your_own_baby_food/146177/
I'll need some tips this time next year : )

  2. We used that with wells and are using it with claire. it's awesome and they'll eat any of the veggies! reality is...i'd love to make her food, but since i can barely wash my hair everyday and it just doesn't sound fun to make the food, Earth's Best is the way to go! or ashley mac's if she starts selling it!

  3. publix usually does buy one get one free on earth's best food every six weeks or so. so, when they do you need to use that $1 coupon on 10 and load up!!!! also, if you have to get it when its not on sale, the cheapest place is target. if its still the same way, publix sales their's for 99cents and target, 70cents.

i loved earths best!! and a lot of times the cheaper way to go, is to go to whole foods, buy you some fruits and veggies, steam and then puree in a blender and freeze in ice cube trays!

if you have any questions just let me know because i just went through all of this. (not that i'm an expert:) ) baby food is EXPENSIVE!!!!!!!!!!!

  4. oh melanie! you could totally make her baby food! it is SO easy! i made all of wyatt's...and plan on making all of reagan's. all you need is a stove/oven and a food processor. there is a great book that i know williams sonoma carries (and other places i'm sure) called, "cooking for baby". really all you do, is cook the veggies/fruit and then puree the crap out of it. you can either do that every day...or freeze it (which is what i did). every two weeks i would make enormous batches of food and then freeze it in ice cube trays (at 6 months, one cube = one serving). it saved us TONS of money. you should give it a shot. maybe start with bananas or apples and just see how it goes...

  5. ps. you don't have to even cook the bananas. just puree them and you're done!
